‘Buy a Brick’ provides our supporters with the opportunity for a personalised method of donation. Donations are pooled into a building fund, which will be the main source of funding used for the physical construction of the education centre. In order to cover the costs of Stage 1 of the education centre, over 2000 bricks need to be sold at $25 by July 2010. This will raise approximately $50,550 .

The estimated cost for Stage 2 and Stage 3 will be in excess of AUD $180,000. The projected cost for maintenance thereafter is approximately AUD $103,600 per annum.

Honesty and transparency are important to us. We strongly believe that anyone willing to make a donation has the right to know where their money is going.

Where will the funds go?

Donations will go towards the infrastructure of the education centre. This will cover the cost of the physical structure of the centre and other associated necessities such as water tanks, boreholes and school equipment.

What are donations being used for besides building costs?

Funding will also be used for logistical costs. This includes school, in-country travel, and other administrative expenses associated with the project, such as local building fees and levies.

Is the organization registered outside of Australia?

At the moment UFF is only registered in Australia. However, we have solicitors on the ground in Uganda, finalising the Ugandan registration. This will enable us to purchase land in the organisation’s name.

Do you have tax deductibility?

Yes, we’re partnered with Rotary Australia World Community Service, which enables us gift recipient status. A cheque or money order is payable to “Eastern Region RAWCS Overseas Aid Fund”. This donation should be accompanied by our tax deductible donation form. Jack Elliott, the RAWCS Treasurer, will process the payment and forward you a receipt.
